With family, friends and fellow students packed into the Williamsville North gym, Alyssa Helak, Shannon Quinlan and Josh Surowiec each signed their Letters of Intent to continue their sports career in college.

Helak, who is currently undefeated in the water for the Spartans, qualified for seven events at the state championships.  She will continue her swimming career at LSU.

While she swims with the Victor Swim Club, in her first year competing in high school, the senior set school records in the 200 and 500 freestyle and 100 backstroke.  She also qualified for three events at the US Junior Nationals and was a second off of qualifying for the Olympic Trials.

Quinlan, who is a two sport star in lacrosse and field hockey, will play field hockey at Division II Assumption.  A four year starter for the Spartans, the senior helped power North to back-to-back Section VI Class A Field Hockey titles.

A team captain and four year starter on the baseball team, Suorwiec will play college baseball at Mercyhurst.

As a freshman he was voted as the team's "Rookie of the Year" and led the Spartans in batting average during his sophomore season.

Surowiec is a captain for the Spartan's hockey team.
