The Northtown Center was home to the biggest high school hockey contest in New York State on Thursday night. Williamsville North and St. Joe's -- both of which are in the Top 3 in state rankings -- took to the ice in a big showdown and adding even more appeal, it was Senior Night for both teams.

But in the matchup between two of the top teams in the area, St. Joe's took the win by a score of 7-1.

Williamsville North had the early advantage, maintaining possession of the puck and forcing St. Joe's to take some penalties, but they couldn't put one past Marauders goaltender Donovan Boshier early on. The rest of the way it was all St. Joe's, scoring the first seven goals of the game.

Ethan Louisos, Luke Pierce, Michael Greco, Jeremy Ienco, Nathan Berke, Niko Pavicich, and Ienco again were the goal scorers for St. Joe's through the end of the game. Williamsville North avoided the shutout by netting a power play goal late in the game.
