Cambridge's Zack Rowland connected with Shawn Lemieux to convert a two-point conversion and seal the Class D Championship with a 22-21 double-overtime victory against Maple Grove in the Class D Championship on Friday.
Tied at 14 after regulation and the first overtime session, Nick Fabrizio scored his third touchdown of the game to give the Red Dragons a 21-14 lead in the second overtime.
On the ensuing drive, Cambridge refused to go away.
Facing 4th and 10 in the extra session, the Indians converted on a 12-yard pass to set up first and goal inside the 10. Maurice Seymore followed that up with an eight yard touchdown run to pull Cambridge within 21-20.
Lemieux hauled in the conversion off of play action to secure the Indians first title since 1999.
Maple Grove finishes the season with a 12-1 overall record.
Fabrizio was named "The Most Valuable Offensive Back" in the game.
