For the first time since 2008, Maple Grove is heading to back to the state championship.
The Red Dragons defeated Sidney 56-20 in the Class D semifinals to punch its ticket to the Carrier Dome next weekend.
Maple Grove won the Class D title in 2008.
The Red Dragons led 13-0 after the first quarter and outscored Sidney 29-6 in the second to open up a 42-6 lead at halftime.
MG will face Haldane or Cambridge on Friday, November 25th in Syracuse at the Carrier Dome in the state title game.
