Jamestown's Stephen Carlson is the 2014 Connolly Cup award winner as “The Most Outstanding High School Football Player” in Western New York.

This season, Carlson racked up 772 receiving yards and hauled in eight touchdowns.  Defensively, he tallied 118 tackles and had four interceptions, including a pick six.

“We wanted it at the beginning of the season, we said we wanted a state title.  Through the work we put in the whole year, not just me, I got the award, but it's really a complement to our coaching staff our team and everyone involved,” Carlson said.  “It's a great feeling to go out on top.”

Jamestown also won the Class AA state title.
