The Frontier/Lake Shore/Orchard Park girls hockey team quest for a state championship fell short with a 5-1 loss to Skaneateles Saturday afternoon at SUNY Canton.
The Lakers opened the scoring just four minutes in with a power play goal, and opening up a 5-0 lead in the third period.
OP's Jessica Peters netted the lone goal FLOP, finding the back of the net in the final minutes.
Up next for FLOP, the squad will look to follow up it's Section VI title run, with a Federation championship. The Fed playoffs begin Tuesday, Feb. 14.
