Lewiston (WKBW.com) It's that time of year again, Niagara Falls Country Club is getting ready for one of the top amateur golf tournaments in the world. The 52nd Porter Cup is set to tee off in Lewiston on July 27th, and once again the annual event has a impressive field.
For the first time in tournament history the reigning US amateur champion, in University of California Freshman Ben An, and reigning British amateur champion, in Jin Jeong, will be in attendance.
The field also boasts the top ranked amateur in the world in Macon, Georgia native Russell Henry. Henry finished as the low amateur, and tied for 16th at the recent US Open.
Tournament action kicks off on Tuesday July 27th with the Ham Am at Niagara Falls Country Club. First round action begins on Wednesday July 28th. Admission is always free.
