Helping the Bulls set a program best with 21 wins since joining the Mid-American Conference, senior Joanna Smith was honored by the league as a second team All-MAC selection.

It's the second straight season she's earned the honors.

This year, the Mississippi native leads the Bulls in scoring (17.3 ppg) and rebounds (4.0 rpg).

Fellow guard Stephanie Reid, who hit the game-winning basket in the MAC title game over Central Michigan a year ago, was named to the All-Defensive Team for the second straight year as well.  She is averaging more than two steals per game.

Cardinal O'Hara product Summer Hemphill earned as All-Freshman team honors.

The freshman averaged a team-best 7.5 rebounds per game and averaged better than six points per game.

Seeing action in all 30 games this season, Hemphill started every game from Jan. 7 through Feb. 11.

The UB Women season continues Wednesday, when they face off against 2nd seeded Ball State in the MAC Tournament quarterfinals. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m.
