The UB women's basketball team is heading straight to Cleveland.

With an 85-71 win over Akron on Saturday, the Bulls earned a 1st round bye in the MAC Conference Tournament and secured a top four seed. They also picked up their 12th conference win which sets a new school record for MAC wins in one season.

Summer Hemphill led the Bulls with 18 points, nine rebounds and two blocks. Cierra Dillard added 13 points, eight rebounds, eight assists and three steals.

The Bulls are now a perfect 10-0 at home this season and will look for their first undefeated season at Alumni Arena in program history when playing at the Division-I level.

The Bulls need just one win to clinch the MAC East, something they've never been able to do. They're back in action on Wednesday at Bowling Green.
