For just the third time in school history, the UB football team is bowl eligible.

The Bulls beat Ohio 31-24 Friday afternoon to grab their 6th win of the season and end the regular season with three straight wins.

Running back Emmanuel Reed gave the Bulls their final touchdown of the game midway through the 4th quarter but it was Khalil Hodge sealing the win with a late interception in the end zone.

Quarterback Tyree Jackson once again got the start and finished 19-for-30 for 294 yards and two touchdowns. Wide receiver Anthony Johnson grabbed his 14th receiving touchdown in the win to set a new single-season school record.

With a 6-6 record, the Bulls are bowl eligible but haven't secured a spot in a bowl game just yet. They'll have to wait until December 3rd for official selection.

The Bulls have played in two bowl games, the 2009 International Bowl and the 2013 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.
