In early December Niagara pulled off a stunner on the road, knocking off Iona with a 74-58 victory.

Despite a career high 34 points from Matt Scott on Sunday, the Purple Eagles weren't as lucky the second time around against the second best team in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, suffering a 90-76 loss at home in the Gallagher Center.

The Gaels led wire to wire, and although Niagara pulled to win 20-19 in the first it trailed by 10 at the half.

In the final 20 minutes of action Niagara trailed by as many as 17 and never got closer than eight.

Marvin Prochet added 16 while Kahlil Dukes chipped in with 10 off the bench for the Purple Eagles.
