Trailing by 17 in the second half, the Canisius men pulled to within one in the final seconds, but it wasn't enough in a 61-58 loss to 2nd seeded Saint Peter's in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Tournament.
Canisius trailed 30-25 at half, and saw the Peacocks use a 12-0 run to open the second stanza.
Down eight in the final minute, Isaiah Reese and Jermaine Crumpton powered an 8-1 run to pull the Griffs within 58-59.
After pulling ahead 61-58 with 13 ticks on the clock, Crumpton and Reese each missed 3-pointers in the final seconds, which would have tied the game.
