The UB Men's basketball team is getting hot at just the right time.

The Bulls picked up their fourth straight win and moved above the .500 mark for the first time since November with an 88-74 win over Bowling Green on Saturday.

With the win, UB improves to 13-12 overall and 7-5 in Mid-American Conference.

Despite shooting a red-hot 72 percent from the floor in the first half, UB was plagued by 13 turnovers and trailed 42-39 at the break.

In the final 20 minutes of action the Bulls turned it over just six times while exploding for 49 points.

Nearing the midway point of the second UB used a 8-0 run to take the lead for good.  More impressive in the second half?

From the 15:18 mark until 6:54, the squad locked down on defense forcing four turnovers and limited Bowling Green to just four points to open up a 76-57 advantage.

Blake Hamilton led the way with 19 points and was one of four starters in double-figures for UB.

Willie Connor tallied a double-double with 15 points and 12 boards while both CJ Massinburg and Dontay Caruthers chipped in with 18.

The Bulls return to action Tuesday when they host Central Michigan. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. at Alumni Arena.
