A back and forth affair in the second half, the Rams had an opportunity to tie or win the game with 8.5 seconds left to play.
Trailing 56-54, following a missed free throw from Reid, Fordham's Danielle Burns ran the length of the floor and drove the lane but crashed into freshman Summer Hemphill. The bucket fell through, but Burns was called for an offensive foul, and the basket was waived off.
