BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - Tonight, 7 P.M. faceoff at the Buffalo State Ice Arena, the Bengals are looking to open their 2012-13 season against the Division 1 Penn State Nittany Lions, 1-1.
After an $80 million donation from Buffalo Sabres' owner Terry Pegula, Penn State went from a club hockey program to having their first season as a Division 1 independent hockey team.
Buffalo State is looking to improve on the best season in program history, after setting a school record 13 victories and going as far as the SUNYAC semifinals for the first time.
Tickets are $5 and can be bought at the door.
Buffalo State will also play Penn State November 3rd, for their first road game of the season at newly built University Park, PA.
