BUFFALO, NY - (Canisius Media Release) Senior Alan McGreal (Dublin, Ireland) of the Canisius College men's soccer team capped his career by being named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-North Atlantic Third Team.

McGreal, who was also named to the regional team following his freshman campaign, led the Griffs with 24 points, 10 goals and four assists during his senior season. His 24 points placed second in the MAAC, while his 10 goals tied for the most in the conference.

The first four-time All-MAAC selection in the program’s history, McGreal graduates as the most prolific scorer in school history. The Dublin, Ireland native holds the program’s standards with 99 career points, 24 more than the next highest Griff, 35 career goals and 29 career assists.

During his career, McGreal earned first-team all-conference honors in 2007 and 2009 and was named to the second team in 2006 and 2008. Canisius was 1-of-7 MAAC teams that had a player represented on the All-North Atlantic Team.
