The Canisius College baseball team put up a fight, but their most successful season in program history ended Saturday in the MAAC Tournament Championship round. The Griffs came up one game short of their first NCAA Tournament appearence.

Canisius forced a winner-take-all matchup with Marist after beating the Red Foxes 5-4 in the first game of the day. But Marist responded in the second and decisive game, beating Canisius 13-9.

The Griffs end their season with the record of 36-22.
