AMHERST, N.Y. (AP) - Brian Moten came off the bench to score a
season-high 22 points in Bowling Green's 59-48 win over Buffalo on
Wednesday.
Moten was 8-for-15 from the floor with six 3-pointers for
Bowling Green (15-10, 8-4 Mid-American Conference) after replacing
Chris Knight in the game's first minute. Knight left the floor with
an apparent right leg injury.
Rodney Pierce scored 13 points and Calvin Betts 10 for Buffalo
(17-7, 9-3 MAC), which dropped its second straight after winning
nine consecutive games.
Bowling Green led 37-22 at halftime. The Falcons took early
control during a 12-3 run in which Moten drained a pair of
3-pointers.
The Falcons were 22-for-41 from the field (53.7 percent) for the
game, making 8 of 17 from beyond the arc.
Buffalo cut Bowling Green's lead to as little as seven points by
opening the second half with a 10-2 run. The Bulls were 18-for-53
(34 percent) for the game.
