KALAMAZOO, Mich. (AP) - Rodney Pierce scored 16 of his 21 points
in the second half of Buffalo's 74-71 victory at Western Michigan
on Tuesday night.
Western Michigan's David Kool missed an awkward 3-point attempt
just before the buzzer - similar to a soccer-style throw-in -
forced while Andy Robinson had a hand in his face.
Max Boudreau added 12 points and Robinson had 11 for the Bulls
(13-5, 5-1 Mid-American), who shot 47 percent and became the first
Broncos opponent to shoot better than 40 percent in seven games.
Kool's 20 points led Western Michigan (7-12, 4-2). Shawntes Gary
added 12 points and a game-high nine rebounds and Derek Drews
scored 14 points, including 4-of-4 from 3-point range, for the
Broncos.
