Three Bulls Heading to NFL

By WKBW Sports

Three former UB Bulls are heading to the NFL this season. DE Trevor Scott and C Jamey Richard heard their names called during the draft Sunday, and P Ben Woods signed with the Cleveland Browns as an unrestricted free agent Monday.

Scott was drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the sixth round with the 169th overall pick. The 6-5, 265-pounder had 19 sacks in his career with the Bulls.

Richard was the third center taken by the Indianapolis Colts in the 2008 draft. The seventh-round selection was named to the All-MAC 2nd team last season.

Woods set a school record for career punts with 281, and was a semifinalist for the Ray Guy Award as the nation's top punter last season.
