ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - Senior captain Kevin Porter set an NCAA

the Times Union Center.
Linemates Max Pacioretty and Chad Kolarik had five points apiece
for the Wolverines (32-5-4), who advance to Saturday's regional
final against Clarkson. The Golden Knights defeated St. Cloud
State, 2-1, in Friday's early game.
Porter scored a natural hat trick, netting three consecutive
goals, the latter two coming 2:07 apart in the second period. He
tacked on an empty-netter with 1:28 left, his 32nd goal of the

Pacioretty, a freshman, had a goal and four assists, and
Kolarik, a senior, set a tournament record with five assists for
Michigan, which converted two of five power play chances and held
Niagara without a shot for 19:37 over the first and second periods.

regular-season and tournament champions.
Senior center Matt Caruana had the lone goal for the CHA
