Purple Eagles Move Into First-Place Tie

LEWISTON, N.Y. (AP) - Charron Fisher had a game-high 21 points
to lead Niagara to a 71-69 win over S. Peter's Monday night in
Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action.
Niagara (17-8, 11-5 MAAC) moved into a four-way tie for first
place in the conference. Stanley Hodge added 20 points, 18 coming
in the first half, and grabbed nine rebounds. Benson Egemonye added
16 points. Fisher had six assists, four steals and eight rebounds.
Nick Leon scored 16 points for St. Peter's (6-20, 3-13). Todd
Sowell had 13 points and 13 rebounds and Wesley Jenkins also scored
13 points. Ryan Bacon and Darrell Lampley added 12 and 10 points,
respectively.
Fisher gave Niagara a 66-65 lead when he dunked at 2:22. Lewis
drove the lane and scored at 1:12 for a 68-65 edge and later made
one of two free throws at 10.7 seconds left for a 71-69 lead.
Raul Orta's 3-point attempt for St. Peter's missed with two
seconds left.
