Canisius Falls at Manhattan

NEW YORK (AP) - Rashad Green, Andrew Gabriel and Darryl Crawford
scored 21 points apiece, and Manhattan defeated Canisius 97-87 on
Sunday to snap an eight-game losing streak.
Devon Austin added 16 points and Green had 11 rebounds for the
Jaspers (9-15, 3-11 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference). Antoine
Pearson added 10 points.
Frank Turner scored 17 points, Jovan Robinson had 16 and Rishawn
Johnson 13 for the visiting Golden Griffins (4-20, 2-12). Pawel
Malesa had 12 points and Julius Coles 10.
Crawford had 15 points in helping Manhattan take a 46-30 lead at
halftime, and Pearson's 3-pointer 4:06 into the second half
propelled the Jaspers to a 60-37 lead.
Coles hit a 3 with 9:14 left in the game to cap a 19-7 run for
the Griffs that cut the lead to 73-61, and Turner scored with 2:03
remaining to slash the edge to 83-77. But Canisius got no closer.
Manhattan scored 12 points on free throws in the final 1:25.
