BUFFALO, NY (WKBW.com/UB Release) – The University at Buffalo Division of Athletics announced today that Linda Hill-MacDonald will not return as women’s basketball coach after seven seasons leading the Bulls.

“On behalf of the entire Division of Athletics, I’d like to thank Linda and her staff for their service and dedication to our women’s basketball program,” said Interim Athletic Director John Lambert. “I appreciate the leadership Coach Hill-MacDonald provided UB and our student athletes during her tenure at Buffalo and personally extend my gratitude and best wishes to Linda and her staff at this time.”

Hill-MacDonald posted a career record of 75-137 in seven years, including a 35-77 record in conference play. This past season, Buffalo finished with a 9-22 record overall and were 4-12 in MAC play, falling in the first round of the MAC Tournament for the second time in the last three years.

A national search for a new head women’s basketball coach will begin immediately.
