PHILADELPHIA, PA - (WKBW) James Starks has arrived on the NFL scene. The Niagara Falls native ran for 123 yards on 23 carries on Sunday helping the Green Bay Packers beat the Philadelphia Eagles 21-16 in an NFL wild card matchup.
Starks set a Packers playoff rookie rushing record with the breakout performance.
The former University at Buffalo star played in only three games during the regular eason, rushing for 101 yards. He sat out most of the year with a hamstring injury. He missed his senior season (2009) at UB because of a shoulder injury.
