Buffalo (WKBW.com/Sabres Release)
Buffalo Sabres General Manager Darcy Regier today announced that the team has signed defenseman Matt MacKenzie to a three-year entry level NHL contract.
MacKenzie was selected by Buffalo in the third round (83rd overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. In four WHL seasons, MacKenzie has compiled 98 points (18+80) and 180 penalty minutes in 225 games with the Calgary Hitmen and Tri-City Americans.
