Buffalo (WKBW.com) The Buffalo Sabres announced on Monday that forward Ales Kotalik and defenseman Shaone Morrisonn have cleared waivers and have been assigned to the Rochester Americans of the AHL.
The team also trimmed its training camp roster by sending 14 players to the Amerks. Among those sent to the Sabres AHL affiliate were Zach Kassian and Marcus Foligno.
The full list is right here. Forwards Marcus Foligno, Zack Kassian, Jonathan Parker, Michael Ryan, Colin Stuart, Corey Tropp, Phil Varone and Derek Whitmore; defensemen TJ Brennan, Joe Finley, Brayden McNabb, Dennis Persson and Drew Schiestel; and goaltender Drew MacIntyre.
This leaves the Sabres with 27 players still in training camp (16 forwards, 8 defensemen and three goaltenders).
