BUFFALO, N.Y. (April 25, 2012) – The Buffalo Sabres today announced season ticket prices for the 2012-13 season will be increasing $2 to $8 per seat, depending on the seat location. Additionally, the team announced that smoking will no longer be permitted on First Niagara Center property starting September 1, 2012.
With the increase, the average ticket price will be approximately $53, which will remain well below the projected league average of $75. The Sabres have ranked among the top five teams in the NHL for tickets sold and placed in the bottom five for average ticket price in each of the past five seasons.
At the conclusion of the 2011-12 season, the Buffalo Sabres had 15,100 full-season tickets. For the second straight year, the organization will release an additional 200 season seats to members of the Blue & Gold Club for the 2012-13 campaign. The Blue & Gold Club is a preferred waiting list for individuals who would like to purchase season tickets. Currently, there are 2,785 names on the list and fans can join the Blue & Gold Club by registering at www.sabres.com.
Another change for the 2012-13 season will be the elimination of smoking at First Niagara Center. In becoming a smoke-free facility, there will no longer be designated smoking areas on arena property and fans will not be permitted to smoke on the grounds during any games or events. The change in policy reflects local and national trends at sports venues and responds to an overwhelming number of fan requests.
The season ticket package for 2012-13 will include three preseason games at deeply discounted prices ($10 to $25 per), and 41 regular season games.
Season ticket holders will be receiving their renewal packages via mail over the next week. A 10% deposit is required by Wednesday, June 15 in order to secure your current seat location.

Season ticket holders will continue to receive a 2.5% rebate which will be added to their Sabrebucks card when paid in full.
