VANCOUVER, BC - (WKBW) An early three-goal outburst helped the Buffalo Sabres beat the Vancouver Canucks 5-3 on Saturday night.
Ville Leino scored two goals in the game's first 3:44 and Brad Boyes tallied just over 5 minutes into the contest for the Sabres. Boyes' goal chased Canucks goalie Roberto Luongo from the net after giving up three goals on seven shots.
David Booth scored for Vancouver in the second period. His goal ended Ryan Miller's shoutout streak at 155 minutes, 37 seconds.
Christian Ehrhoff gave Buffalo a three-goal lead again early in the third. Booth then tallied his second of the night, followed by former Sabre Zack Kassian scoring to make it a one goal game.
Tyler Ennis added an empty netter.
Miller made 32 saves for the victory.
The Sabres visit Winnipeg on Tuesday.
