BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - Johnny Oduya scored 57-seconds into overtime to give Winnipeg Jets a 2-1 win over the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday night.
The Sabres opened the scoring in the second period. Skating by the Jets crease, Tyler Myers deflected a Jason Pominville pass into the Winnipeg net. The power play goal was Myers' third goal of the season.
With 4.2 seconds remaining in the middle frame, the Jets were able to cash in on a two-man advantage. With Thomas Vanek and Jordan Leopold in the penalty box, Blake Wheeler scored to knot the game at two.
Jhonas Enroth made 39-saves for the Sabres. Ondrej Pavelec stopped 31 shots for the Jets.
The Sabres next visit the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday.
