BUFFALO, NY - (WKBW) Jason Pominville scored two goals and Jhonas Enroth made 41 saves leading the Buffalo Sabres to the 4-2 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday. It was Buffalo's first win on First Niagara Center ice this season.
Brad Boyes opened the scoring in the first period with a power play goal. Pominville scored his first goal of the game early in the second period.
However, the Sabres let the lead slip away. Vaclav Prospal scored later in the second period. Fedor Tyutin tallied midway through the third period to tie the game.
Patrick Kaleta notched the game-winning goal 14:08 into the third period. Pominville then scored his second of the night on the power play to ice the game.
Thomas Vanek had three assists in the contest.
The Sabres next host Florida, on Saturday, in the third game of a five-game homestand.
