PITTSBURGH, PA - (WKBW) Luke Adam and Nathan Gerbe both had a goal and an assist, while Jhonas Enroth stopped 29 shots as the Sabres beat the Penguins Saturday night 3-2.
Both Adam and Gerbe scored for Buffalo in the first period.
James Neal scored for the Penguins in the second period to cut the Sabres lead in half.
Drew Stafford snapped home a Gerbe drop pass in the third period to give Buffalo a 3-1 lead. But Pittsburgh again cut into the deficit when Jordan Staal backhanded a loose puck past Enroth with 4:51 to play. That proved to be the final tally.
The Sabres play their next three games on the road. They visit Montreal on Tuesday.
