BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - Needing to make a roster move with forward Ville Leino on the way back from a hip injury the Buffalo Sabres have sent Mikhail Grigorenko to his junior team in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
The 18-year-old rookie scored one goal and four assists in 22 games this year.
He is eligible to come back to the Sabres later this season.
