The Rochester Red Wings topped the Buffalo Bisons on Independece Eve, 7-6 in 13 innings. Matt Marci snapped a 2-2 tie with a three-run HR in the top of the 8th, but the Herd bounced back with four runs in the bottom of the ninth to tie it.

Morgan Ensberg had the Bisons only hit as the Herd was shutout Wednesday five to nothing in Indianapolis. The loss dropped Buffalo to 36 and 44 on the year, 13 1/2 games back in the International League North.

Two former Bisons have been elected to the Buffalo Baseball Hall of Fame. Infielders Carlos Garcia and Dave Hollins will be inducted in pre-game ceremonies on August 16th.

Norfolk 6-Run Seventh Gives Tides Win
With wet conditions at Harbor Park, the Herd lost its grip on a pair of games as the Tides swept a doubleheader. Errors cost the Bisons in a 2-1 game one defeat while a six-run bottom of the seventh from Norfolk dealt the Herd a crushing 9-8 loss in the night cap.
