New hitting coach Bill Masse had been in Buffalo for less then 24 hours but the Bisons showed some instant results on Thursday. The Herd set a season high with 15 hits in a 13-5 win over the Durham Bulls Thursday afternoon.

The Bisons have struggled as one of the worst offensive teams in the International League this season. On Wednesday the New York Mets switched hitting coaches between Buffalo and Binghamton, promoting Masse to the Bisons and sending Luis Natera down to Double A.

The Bisons continue their 4 game series with Durham on Friday at Coca-Cola field.
