Despite taking an early 2-0 lead, the Buffalo Bisons lost to Indianapolis 9-2 Saturday night.
Wily Mo Pena gave the Herd the two-run lead, in the bottom of the first inning, after a two-run home run. The round-tripper extended Pena's hitting streak to 12 games.
But, the Indians scored nine unanswered runs, including four in the top of the second, to seal it.
Lance Broadway took the loss for Buffalo. Broadway pitched 4.2 innings. He allowed eight hits and seven earned runs.
The Bisons host Indianapolis on Sunday afternoon at 1:05pm. It will be game two of the four-game series.
