The Buffalo Bisons took a three-run lead into the top of the ninth inning Tuesday night, but couldn't make it hold up. The Lehigh Valley IronPigs scored three to tie, then scored on an error in the top of the tenth as the Bisons homestand ended with a 6-5 loss in ten innings.
Shin-Soo Choo and Jason Cooper homered as the Herd took a 5-2 lead into the ninth, but Rick Bauer gave up three runs for a blown save. Then Mike Cervenak's grounder appeared to end the top half of the tenth, but Bison SS Danny Sandoval's throw was in the dirt, Andy Gonzalez couldn't make the scoop, and Mike Rouse scored what would be the winning run on the Sandoval error.
The bisons will take Wednesday off, then start an eight-game road trip in Columbus on Thursday night.
