The Buffalo Bisons scored just one run over 14 innings while losing both ends of a doubleheader to the Pawtucket Red Sox Thursday at Dunn Tire Park.
Former Bison Bartolo Colon flashed the form that earned him the 2005 American League Cy Young award, allowing the Bisons just one hit over six innings of work, striking out four in the Sox 2-0 win. Aaron Miller gave up just two hits for the Herd, but gave up both Pawtucket runs in the first inning.
The Bison bats stayed quiet in game two, but the Paw Sox woke exploded for a 9-1 win to complete the sweep.
The Bisons homestand continues Friday night with the first of four games against the struggling Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs, who have just ten wins all season. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05pm
