ORCHARD PARK, NY (WKBW.com/Bills) – Buffalo Bills running back Fred Jackson signed a two-year contract extension on Monday. Jackson was entering the final year of his previous deal.
Terms of the deal were not released but Eyewitness Sports Director Jeff Russo has learned Jackson will earn a total base of $8.7 million over the two years of the contract. The extension could reach close to $11 million if all the incentives are reached.
Jackson has led the Bills in rushing in each of the last three seasons. He rushed for 934 yards and six touchdowns in 2010 despite missing the final six games with a broken bone in his leg.
Jackson originally joined the Bills in 2006 as an undrafted free agent out of Coe College
