Orchard Park, NY – (Buffalo Bills) The Buffalo Bills today announced that the team has promoted OL Michael Jasper to the 53-man roster. In accordance with team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Jasper has spent the first 16 weeks of the 2011 regular season on the team’s Practice Squad. The 6-4, 374-pound Bethel product entered the NFL as a seventh-round (245th overall) draft choice of Buffalo in April. He will continue to wear No. 69.
Buffalo placed TE Mike Caussin on Injured Reserve.
Buffalo also signed WR David Gilreath and OL Jake Vermiglio to the team’s Practice Squad.
Gilreath entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with Indianapolis in July. The 5-11, 169-pound Wisconsin product spent portions of the season on the Colts’ and St. Louis Rams’ practice squad. He will wear No. 15.
Vermiglio entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with Arizona in July before being released prior to the regular season. The 6-5, 325-pound North Carolina State product spent a portion of the season on the Green Bay Packers’ practice squad. He will wear No. 62.
