DETROIT, NY (WKBW) - Ralph Wilson Jr. went to a Detroit area hospital for what we're told is a minor illness.

The latest reports are that Wilson remains in good condition at the Henry Ford hospital in the Detroit area where the Bill's owner now lives.

A spokesperson for the team would not say how long Mr. Wilson has been hospitalized. The 93-year-old was well enough earlier this summer to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony in canton, for a football research facility bearing his name. But did need the use of a wheel chair.

Wilson suffered a broken hip last spring, he will turn 94, in October.

Many fans offering well wishes to the only owner the Bills have ever known.

Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz, who is in lease negotiations with the Bills, wished Wilson a speedy recovery on Twitter.
