Orchard Park (WKBW) After spending the first two picks addressing needs on the offense side of the ball the Buffalo Bills went defense with the teams second pick in the second round. The Bills selected Oregon linebacker Kiko Alonso with the 46th overall pick.
Alonso started in 17 of 36 games at Oregon, including all 12 during the 2012 season. At 6-foot-3, 238 pounds Alonso is known as a physical run stuffing linebacker who played mostly at the inside linebacker position at Oregon.
Finished his career at Oregon with 143 tackles and 3.5 sacks. Was a defensive captain in 2012. Alonso had a couple of alcohol related incidents while at Oregon. He did not play in 2010.
