HOUSTON, TX - (WKBW) The Buffalo Bills hung around with the AFC's best team, but could not get into the endzone in Houston, as the Texans beat the Bills 21-9.
Buffalo (3-5) allowed Houston (7-1) to get on the board first. Matt Schaub hit Owen Daniels for a 39-yard touchdown in the first quarter.
After Rian Lindell hit two second quarter field goals, the Bills trailed 7-6 at halftime.
Texans running back Arian Foster ran for 111 yards and gave his team a 14-6 lead with a 3-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.
Lindell split the uprights later to make it a 14-9 game through three quarters.
The only scoring of the final frame was a Schaub 5-yard touchdown pass to Garrett Graham.
Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick finished the day with 25 completions on 38 attempts. He passed for 239 yards.
The Bills travel to face the New England Patriots next Sunday.
