Buffalo also announced that SS Jon Corto, WR Felton Huggins, LB Jammie Kirlew and T Ed Wang have been Waived/Injured.
The team also placed RB Bruce Hall on Injured Reserve.
The Bills roster now stands at the mandatory 53 players.
Beginning at Noon tomorrow, Sunday, September 4th New York time, clubs may establish a Practice Squad of eight players by signing free agents who do not have an accrued season of free agency credit or who were on the 45-player Active List for less than nine regular season games during each of any Accrued Seasons. A player cannot participate on the Practice Squad for more than three seasons.

On how difficult it is to make cuts:
Every decision is a difficult decision. There are no easy decisions, obviously. It not only involves your football team but it involves their life, their profession and their goals and dreams. And that’s the hardest day of the year for me. You make decisions for a lot of different reasons. You all do your job with knowledge, insight and opinion. We make decisions the same way; knowledge, insight and opinion. We feel it’s best for the opportunity to beat Kansas City and for the future of our football team. Each individual decision is on its own merit. It’s tough every year.
On whether C Geoff Hangartner was given notice that he was going to make the team:
I never said that.
On what sold him on WR Ruvell Martin:
First of all, he did a great job of picking up the offense quickly. He caught the ball when we threw it to him and he did well on special teams. It was a good combination to have coming in on short notice.
On how hard it was to cut WR Naaman Roosevelt:
That was a tough call at all of the receiver positions because there were some good players at that spot. We had a hard decision on those kinds of guys that had been here last year. All those guys that had been here last year, and you develop a relationship with, it’s harder each time.
On if Roosevelt will return to the practice squad:
There’s a possibility of that, yes. Whether it happens now or in the future, you never know about any of those guys, but he did a good job and we’ll see if he gets an opportunity somewhere else or whether it’s here again.
On NT Michael Jasper:
We knew he was a project coming him. He just hasn’t developed to the point where we think he is a viable candidate to make the team. We’d like to continue to develop him if it works out.
On undrafted free agents TE Zack Pianalto and LB Robert Eddins making the roster:
Eddins showed up a lot. He did a great job. He showed up on defense, in games, in practice and on special teams, he did a lot of things very well. We were encouraged by what he may be able to develop into at some point in time. Zack is the same way. Zack Pianalto showed some flashes. He nursed that hamstring for a long time. But we saw enough glimpses and flashes and got a feel for his demeanor towards the game that we thought he would be a positive force in the future.
On not keeping a lot of cornerbacks and the possibility of adding more during the season:
I think we’re at nine in the secondary overall. We probably will always keep our eye out for a good player in that area. They’re not easy to find, but at the same time we felt good about the quality that we’ve got on the team right now.
