Buffalo Bills release Turk Schonert

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WKBW-TV) - The Buffalo Bills have released Offensive Coordinator Turk Schonert. Alex Van Pelt, the Quaterbacks Coach, will handle the play calling for the season.

Schonert was promoted to offesive coordinator in January of 2008.

The no-huddle offense has sputtered throughout the preseason, with the Bills starters failing to score a touchdown in five pre-season games.

The Bills are ten days away from facing the New England Patriots in a Monday Night Football showdown in Foxboro.
