BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) John Tavares scored eight points, while Luke Wiles notched a hat trick, leading the Buffalo Bandits past the Toronto Rock 14-10.
Beginning his 21st season, Tavares scored a goal and seven assists.
Wiles, an offseason addition to the Bandits, had three goals and an assist.
Buffalo's Scott Self had two goals and three assists.
It was the season opener for the Bandits. Buffalo next visits Rochester on January 21st.
