The Buffalo Bandits won their opening game of the 2009 playoffs as they look to defend their National Lacrosse League Championship.
The Bandits beat Boston 11-8 at HSBC Arena. Mark Steenhuis scored four goals. John Tavares added a pair.
The Bandits will visit the New York Titans next week in the Eastern Division Final.
