The Rochester Knighthawks defeated the Buffalo Bandits, 11-6, in front of 10,517 fans at Blue Cross Arena on Saturday.
Scott Evans led the Knighthawks with four goals, while John Grant scored three and Shawn Williams scored two. Pat O'Toole made 38 saves and allowed just six goals in the win. The win brings Rochester within a half game of the final playoff spot in the East.
It was the second straight game Rochester held their opponent to just six goals; Rochester beat Toronto, 9-6 last week.
The Knighthawks never trailed the entire 60 minutes.
John Tavares and Pat McCready scored two goals apiece for Buffalo. Ken Montour (39 saves, 11 goals against) was credited with the loss.
