BUFFALO, NY (Bisons Release) - The International League today named Buffalo Bisons INF VALENTINO PASCUCCI its Batter-of-the-Week for July 14-17.
Pascucci made the most of the All-Star shortened week, leading the International League with three homers, 10RBI and a 1.133 slugging percentage. Thursday, Pascucci went 0-2 with three walks, a RBI, and a run scored in what proved to be his least-productive game of the week. He collected two hits in each of the other three contests, including a home run and four RBI on Friday and two more home runs with five RBI on Sunday.
Pascucci has now vaulted to 3rd-place in the League in RBI with 60; he is also 1st with 53 walks and 5th with a .388 on-base percentage. His second home run on Sunday was the 30th of his Bisons career, the 23rd player to reach that milestone in the modern era.
Pascucci is the first Bisons player to be given the league’s weekly honor this year.
