Bisons Suffer Another Walk-Off Defeat

TOLEDO, OH (Bisons.com) - The Buffalo Bisons, Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets, fell in walk-off fashion to the Toledo Mud Hens Monday, 3-2.
Buffalo led in the game 2-0, before 'Hens first baseman Mike Hessman delivered the game-winning hit in the bottom of the ninth. The Bison runs came in the fifth innings when Andy Green and Rene Rivera belted back-to-back solo homers. The shots were the second and fourth of the season for each batter respectively.

The game's third homerun was hit in the bottom of the fifth when Max St. Pierre brought Toledo back within one run.

The game was tied in the seventh after starting pitcher Ken Takahashi was removed from the game. The Japanese lefty allowed one run on three hits over six innings. We walked and struck out three batters.

With Takahashi removed from the game Toledo, Ryan Roberson drew a two out walk. The following batter was St. Pierre. The catcher ticketed a ball for left-center field. It fell in for a double and allowed Roberson to score. The run squared the game at 2-2.

The win went to Freddy Dolsi. Tim McNab suffered the loss for the Herd. The Bisons and Mud Hens will finish off their series Tuesday at 7:00. The game precedes an off-day Wednesday.
